Tweet of the Week - 9/1/2023
Today's word of the day is "schadenfreude". The Billy Napier era in Gainesville was off to a rough start after the team gave up a 70 yard touchdown on the first play of the season and never could bounce back as they struggled with sloppy play. The joy of watching Florida fans get mad about a week 1 out of conference loss with a new coach is worth hearing Big 12 fans think they're superior to the SEC for the same reason. Speaking of Big 12 football, UCF covered their spread easily last night with a 56-6 win over Kent State. While the top of the Big 12 might never be able to compete with the top of the SEC, it does seem that they may be gaining some traction when it comes to in-state recruiting in Florida and I'm looking forward to seeing if that program can take advantage of a down time at UF.
We've got a FULL slate of college football this weekend with an extra side of a Braves-Dodgers series to get us ready for October, let's have a great weekend.
